Hi Alan I think we are fortunate to live in the area we are in. Not many miles apart actually as the crow flies or should I say as the eagle flies lol

When I first moved to the island I was amazed by the number of Bald Eagles here. They are so majestic. Where I am now I am fortunate to have a family living close by. Now I can be amazed on a daily basis.

Hi Debbie if you know where Vancouver Island Canada is that is where I am. The boats are in the strait of Georgia between the island and the mainland. The mainland is about 25 miles from the island. The mountains in the background are called the Coast mountains on the mainland. I am about 100 ft...

Hi Alan thanks, the first day of the run there were thousands of gulls.

Thanks Ben, it was a nice sight at night lights from the boats out on the strait. It was a clear night and you could see them likely 20 miles away.

Herring season is here again and these boats have been parked not far off shore here for a few days.
