This is the Great Sugarloaf Mountain adjacent to Dublin. Probably the darkest spot around these parts. The mountain has blocked some of the light pollution but not all sadly.
I took approximately 1.5 Hrs worth of photos at 30s exp/ ISO 800 at F2.8, 14mm. I had to bin quite a few shots as...
Took this last night at sunset. Colours were very diffuse rather than dramatic. I live on the East Coast of Ireland so sunrise usually more dramatic.
Took this on Canon 6dMii with my ever faithful 16-35mm L. F4.
OK. So this probably counts as a little forward in terms of planning but for my 50th I want to travel to the States!
The photographic tour I would like to take over a couple of weeks would include (ideally) things I've always wanted too see namely in no specific order:
1. Desert
2. Desert at...
Afternoon everyone
I'm thinking of the following lens for Milky way photography this season. My standard wide-angle Canon F4 16-35mm L is not really ideal although I do love the lens!
The Sigma 14-24 seems to be getting some decent enough reviews in terms of sharpness across the frame, low...
I was out this morning on the pinhole challenge and these are the local falls near our home here in Bray, Ireland.
After I took the pinhole shots I dropped the 16-35mm L back on and took this with a polariser (2 secs I think). There had been some rain the last few days so river had turned a...
I may be getting my hands on a canon eos ra and was thinking of pairing it with redcat51 by William optics. The largest telephoto I have at present is 70-200mm but I think I'm right in saying prime lens would be better? The redcat is 250mm so not hugely bigger but not to heavy for hiking about...
In contrast to the forest scenes in a previous album, I've put together a couple of seascapes taken over the last year for your consideration. These are in the following album:
As ever these were taken on my Canon 6dMII and trusty 16-35mm L lens (yes, yes I need to get more adventurous)...
I've created a small album of some Autumn shots close to home here in Ireland which can be viewed here:
I shoot with a Canon 6dMark II and typically use either the 16-35mm L F4 or 24-70mm L 2.8 for landscape photography
Well not the finest image i've ever taken but i'm still new to this astro-malarky.
The moon was up and really bright so hard to focus. Thats my excuse anyway. Sadly Ireland is not short of clouds so have to grab chances for clearish nights even when moon is up. Light pollution also an issue...
Our local camera club posted challenge for 'food'. I've submitted the following taken at home. I took both of these just using natural light in the attic and stacked approx 20 images for each single
image.
I'm been very kindly welcomed by Jim and Kyle to the forums which is gracious of you both, thankyou!
My name is Graeme Fryer and I live in Ireland although originally from the UK. I'm mostly a landscape photographer but I'll turn my hand to anything from still-lifes to abstracts. I'm also in...
There is an issue with Uploading Photos (attachjments). I am not sure what the problem is, and I am looking into it. You can still try to Create your Threads and Upload your Photos, but it is hanging up during the Upload.
