This image is taken high above Lee's Ferry looking down river at the beginning of the Grand Canyon. Journey to this spot requires high clearance 4x4 vehicles so the journey was half the fun. We enjoyed this view without anyone else around making the scene all the more majestic.

To get this shot, we woke up at 3am, drove 10 miles off road at 5 mph and hiked 1.5 miles. We didn't see another person the entire time. We just made it before sunrise and rewarded with this view. This is not Horseshoe Bend but another bend in the Colorado River much less accessible. Damn...
