Thank you Jim. I agree on #3 and I have struggled with this as from memory, the whole area turned this crazy color but it just doesn't seem real in post. I may re work this.
Thank you! I appreciate your feedback and I may re-work both of these :)
This is a fantastic capture and one place I have always wanted to shoot. We were there in Sept of 2017 but it was right after a snow storm and this part of the park was closed unfortunately. Fantastic work here!
Life has been extremely busy this past year but I have tried to make time to capture images. Scouted a new place that looked promising and headed out one afternoon after work recently when weather conditions showed some potential promise as storms had come and gone and were to come again this...
Thank you Ben, I enjoy the process with film. I shoot digital but for my more personal pleasure, it is a film camera 90% of the time, usually with B&W loaded.
Alan, I appreciate the feedback. Sometimes I am indecisive with composition choice.
Towards the late afternoon, a few of the lighthouse at Presque Isle. Interesting hike out to this, about an eighth to a quarter mile of a concrete tide breaker and then some difficult rock hopping to get closer. The closer I got, the tougher it was so I did not make it all the way out to it...
Thank you Alan. It was a peaceful setting! I was shooting in the other direction but turned around and saw this rock and figured it would be a good anchor and would contrast the soft pastels in the background.
We just got back from a week in the UP visiting the grandkids however I did manage to make it out for some images. I will be sharing several over the next few days as I work through the digital files. Here is one from Thursday evening, our last night there. A little rain out on Lake Superior...
Thank you kindly. :)
Thank you!
Yes, I am aware of this technicality so let me re-phrase to say, the telephoto creates the ILLUSION of compression vs. a standard/wide/superside lens due to the narrower FOV. :)
There is an issue with Uploading Photos (attachjments). I am not sure what the problem is, and I am looking into it. You can still try to Create your Threads and Upload your Photos, but it is hanging up during the Upload.
