My apologies, as I look at the original takes at NGC2244, I just didn't care for ether rendition. I was doing filter trials using about 10 hours with the L-Extreme and 10 with the ALP_t so I stacked all 20 hours together, used Soft-stretch redid the whole thing and tried my best NOT to over...
with "way" too much time invested (21 hours) the most yet, but it was pretty dim
About 9 hours with the ALP-T and the rest with the L-Extreme. SV 102 and my 533mc pro
I am finding out success with the ALP-T filter is all in the stretch. Cant use the same techniques as with the L-Extreme.
So this image is not one I would send off for publishing, but its the 1st light of an older but new to me Celestron C8 (late 80's vintage). This image has only 1 1/2 hr (19-5min subs) with only a IR/Cut filter and the scope was out of collimation and had poor guiding as it was mounted to the...
Taken on 1/21 is one of my favorites to capture,
Problem with my green/yellow colorblindness, I have trouble with my processing of blues-purples, turquoise, (they all look the same to me)
And I am sure the color calibration (or lack of) on my color monitor doesn't help...
So I need your help...
about 14 1/2 hours of 5 min subs. I could not make up my mind which I liked better?
What's your opinion? THe bluish one or the gold one?
Goes to show you how slight processing changes can completely change the image.
Ended up with about 6 hours from last night using 3 min light frames. I used the L-extreme and the WOGT71 and 533mc for this image
The other night I took the same target but with the SV, 2600mc and using the Antilia ALP-T filter, but the filter brought in way too much signal and it was way over...
About 12 hours of 5 min subs. Using my GT71, ZWO533mc, HEQ5m, L_Extreme filter taken 1-1 and 1-8
Do you prefer the lighter or darker version? I like a little of each and can't decide which to keep?
Here is the final, kinda cross between the 2
taken last night so it was too processed too late to include in my favorites for 2023
About 6 hours of 5 min subs, poor seeing and a bright moon, but it shown through.
I wasn't sure how you all added the framing around your images? Next year perhaps
As a footnote, on average I have 8 to 10 hours of integration time with each of these images (not counting the 1st.
That said listed here compiles well over 100 hours of imaging time.. I am just glad my system...
I took this in Oct, but never liked how it turned out so I never published it. Ran across a new script called Screen Stars, plus I used the other new Scrip GraX and this time it came out a little better.
Taken with the SV102 Raptor, 2600 MC, EQ6r with the L-Extreme filter. About (100) 5 min...
reprocessed same data from 1 year old data using new tools of GrayX and BlurX2
Is the one on the left too blue?
original from last year on the right
Anyway. Merry Christmas everyone!
The Cone Nebula or as I prefer to call it, the Christmas Tree Nebula. About 7 hours of 5 min light frames.
Processed with the new BlurX-2. Brought out way more stars than BlurX would have
Well, with a little imagination!.
Taken last night with about 7 hours of 2 min subs used to capture M42 using the WOGT71 scope, asiair 533 mc pro, HEQ5 mount and the Antlia Tri Band RGB filter
Lots of dust clouds in Orion, for sure.
M42
NGC1499 2 panel mosaic taken with about 6 hours per panel around Dec 5th. In hindsight, it could have been a 4 panel to capture it all.
Taken with my new grab and go kit, the WOGT71, Asi533mc, HEQ5 Pro and the Optolong L-Extreme filter.
Original taken 1/27/23 About 5 1/2 hours of 5 min subs Reprocessed using the new GraXpert script which had an improvement.
The down side, I processed this with poorly taken flat calibration frames and did not save the Master's.
Not bad considering, but a faint image like this requires more...
