Christmas Lights taken at the
Ashville last Friday night. Burrrr 35 deg that night.
Why as a beginner do I seem to try to take the hardest imagery? Lights, brightness, dimness, different colors all hit my sensors at the same time lol
Feel free to point out improvement suggestions for next...

Difficalt to capture and process
over 2 nights I ended up with 12.5 hrs of/300 sec light frames Scope was at a 335 fl. 2600mc pro and the antila ALP-T 5 nm filter.
2 for one. Taken last night, captured 9 1/4 hours. WOGT 71, Asi2600MC, Antila ALP-T nm filter. 1st one I used my normal process. 2nd one I used the new Veralux process. I think in the future I will experiment with the adding channels from both versions to make a hybrid.
Of these 2, which...
So I got an early Christmas present from my son: an i-optron skytracker pro. I'm looking for a light kit to match with my R8 and existing tripod that's easy to move about and set up, primarily for Milky Way shots. I have enough guided scopes for my bigger scopes and deep space stuff.
The...
So I was relooking through my Northern Lights folder and found this one I hadn't processed yet and it may be the most detailed of all of them
But as I tend to over cook my images I would like feedback of everyones thoughts the processing on this one?
Happy Thanksgiving!

My wife and I were in Mt Dora Fl for a wedding last weekend (Same town as the bubble's were taken) and we had the morning to kill so we stopped at a local park where I took these radom shots.
Pretty park (and town) Hignly recommend.
Getting used to my R8

I found out, its hard to capture/focus on bubbles
I drove my auto focus nuts trying to capture these
Canon R8, with the Canon 28-70 f2.8 stm lens
A progression of focus points
After near 20 hours I just couldnt pull out the lighting as I hoped. Limits of a color camera I guess along with my feeble processing skills.

So I've see several videos where folks are recommending turning your cellphone upside down and low to the ground to give your image a whole different look. My question is do you get the same result when using a dslr camera? im trying to figure out what turning it upside down does?
Trying out my new Iaowa f2 x 17mm lens mounted to my R8, the shot below is a 3 sec exposure at iso 800
I was trying for a Milkyway while imaging with my telescope last night.
I did pick up the tale of the milkyway as shown below but the brighter core was way below the trees.
I guess I have...

I struggled to capture and process this one. I have 11 1/2 hours in it and I throw in the towel.
looking online, others I've seen I like have 3 times as much time and taken in darker skieswith bigger scopes.
Oh well, on to something else.
Filter used was the Antila ALP-T 5nm, asi2600 mc...
Same weekend as my hike, this are all taken with the new C8 and the 100 x 400 stm lens
My grandson is blue # 10 who plays of Brevard NC HS. They won with a scope was 3 to 1 and he scored all 3 goals.
I did a batch editing on these as I was taking burst shots hoping to get the perfict...
The good news, I am only 45 minutes from Ceasars Head st park in the Blue Ridge Mtns, the bad news I don't take advantage of it as I should.
I hope that changes.
Still getting used to my new Canon R8 and the 27x70 2.8f stm zoom lens. I also picked up a 100x400 stm lens for it. I hope to...
As many of you have seen, I tend to over process or over saturate my images. The N Lights, to me is really easy to over process.
So, I am really interested to see what you all think is the better image, #1 or #2 or nether?
I really want to improve so feel free to give me your open and honost...
Taken over the last couple nights
This nebula is along the northeast circumference of a very large molecular cloud called the Cepheus Bubble. This is a bubble of gas and dust that is around 500 light years across and approximately 2700 light years away. From our vantage point on earth, this...
