Watching this Pelican stretch his pouch on his neck and then elongate it was interesting. Not sure how this helps it but there must be some reason for this. I have seen this before but this was the 1st time to catch the action throughout. took about 10 seconds from the 1st frame to the last.

I only took 7 photos of this event, so actually no, it was great to get to witness and watch the movements of both the Eagle and Gull as they positioned themselves, I learned a lot watching through my lens. Impressive the power an Eagle has through the turns and the deliberation of his angles.

Oliver, if you liked Bean Hollow, go north to Salt Point state park in Sonoma, north of Ft. Ross. Along the coast there, is a section of this same formation almost an eight of a mile long. You could get lost there for at least a day! I have in the past. Love the way you took this shot, Very nice!
