I enjoyed being able to photograph this in a neutral tone. The building behind and the weeds it was perched on gave a common subject a distinctive look.
I find these experiences to be an opportunity to be creative and show off some detail of the bird. Maybe feather patterns, beak and head, part of a wing, can make for some very interesting compositions. Have fun with it!

Jim, it had been perched downwind from me, knowing that they like to hunt into the wind I sat low next to a rock until it finally flew, I was lucky it came close to where I had positioned myself.
Thank you Eric for the clarification. I seem to have a problem with Id of birds, or at least accurately, so many phases with them in puberty or early adulthood and slightly different markings that stump me on correctly assessing the species. Thanks again!
