Douglas Sherman · Oct 29, 2020

It is still morning here in the west so I thought we should focus on breakfast "boles"

That would be images of birch or aspen boles that are the featured subject of the image.

Aspen Boles at Hearts Prairie near Flagstaff, AZ

Aspen Boles near Ophir, CO

Great set

Nice shots Douglas, but I can't think of any I have to contribute.

AlanLichty · Oct 29, 2020

Alders sort of have boles and here are some examples. Moss tends to grow on them in a lot of cases.

Alder grove along Sweet Creek:

Another grove near the Calawah:

I guess this kind of fits...

I almost posted my shot of those same trees but I already did that last week when the task was the ABC topic

Well, you really had me looking Doug! I have shot some close ups of Aspens, but 99% of mine are wide and from far away. The few I have I haven't processed I guess. But on a good note, I did find one from Colorado.

Wow shots Douglas. Just beautiful.

Jeffrey · Oct 29, 2020

I can't say that the boles are the main subject here, but here they are.

And one I just found from my recent trip to CO...
