    British Columbia Grasslands

Thanks, Alan. I just posted a Travel Guide Article of my Southeast Oregon trips - just to inform folks about this lightly visited, but scenic area. I also posted a link to that article in the "Landscape" presentations. I hope that was OK.

    Southeast Oregon

    - Barren & Beautiful In the very southeast corner of Oregon there is not much. Its wide expanses of sagebrush with occasional rolling hills and escarpments under a wide-open mostly blue sky. They call it “The Sagebrush Sea”. On one of my trips in June, there was abundant wildflowers...

    British Columbia Grasslands

This June, I took a solo camper/truck trip into the interior of British Columbia to seek out the grasslands there. I have enjoyed all my trips into southeast Oregon with the sagebrush hills and wide open skies. So this year I thought about exploring similar landscapes within my own province...

    Last light - Mt Shuksan

Wow .... you caught it - nicely done. Picture Lake? I think I have seen the iconic photos but I have never been there. Can you drive there? I was in the Romanian Făgăraș Mountains in 2002 and they were selling large prints of Mt Shuksan in a gift shop. I didn't see any mountains there...

    Nikon Z50 - spots

Thanks, Jim. I will clean it up and see how it goes. Maybe I will keep my Lowe case zipped up all the time. - Dave

    Nikon Z50 - spots

I got a Nikon refurbished Z50 about a year ago. I am having trouble with getting spots on the sensor. I do not change my kit lens - its the only one I have. I use a Lowe case, but do take the camera into the bush and on dusty trails. I have used a D90 and D3300 for many years and very rarely...

    Last Rays

Nice ...... I like the flare from the sun. Did that just happen or did you do something there? Where were you? And was this taken from a drone?

    Thursday’s Task

Wow .... lots of great Spring shots here. The flowers and blossoms are amazing. Around mid March to mid April, the wildflowers begin to come out on the mossy hills around Victoria, BC, Canada. These Satin Flowers are some of the first to show up on the hills above the Juan de Fuca Strait. We...

    The View to Cape Sebastian

Great shot (and a great spot). We camped there a couple of Decembers ago. I think the DJI drone is doing pretty well. I am tempted to buy my neighbor's Mini 2 (not 4K) that he doesn't use. I could probably get it for around $300CA ($220US) - then go through the scarey learning curve. My son...

    Spring Flowers

Around mid March to mid April, the wildflowers come out on the mossy hills around Victoria, BC, Canada. These Satin Flowers are some of the first to show up on the hills above the Juan de Fuca Straight. We are looking over to snow still on the Olympic Mountains in Washington state.

    Thursday’s Task

Hey.... thanks for starting this, John. There are many amazing images here. (I really like your "March" rock.) My contribution is a shot of one of our favourite places in March - Anza Borrego State Park, just below Palm Springs, CA. The flowers were magnificant in 2017.
