Today's Winged Wednesday bird photos are examples of the high resolution of a 61MP Sensor. The question is, "who needs a 61 MP sensor?" The answer is, "the photographer that insists on extreme details in his photographs." Topaz sharpen AI is another way to produce exquisite details without the cost of a new camera. These photos were taken with the Sony a7R4 and the Sony EF 200-600 zoom lens. I have been a Canon guy for 30 years so the switch is painful to the pocketbook. However, I have never gotten details in the red colors with Canon, but as you can see on the woodpecker Sony excels at it.

We were blessed with a rare visitor here in Sedona. This Yellow-throated Warbler can't usually be found in Arizona.

Really nice images, Eric. Tom and I used to notice the reds going haywire in prints if the saturation was to high especially in red maple leaves in New England.

It was a beautiful early summer day way up in the La Sals. It had rained all morning and was starting to dry out. When I spotted this unusual encounter, I took my time and just sat watching, then shooting. He wasn't too bothered, being preoccupied.
