Delightful set Lenny - I like the clear crisp focus. 3 hours? That's a lot more patience than I have think less of the 6(?) your fellow photographers spent.

These are really great Lenny! I need to get back up there again. I sure like #2 where the baby is poking its head up, and then I think #3 is my next favorite with them side by side.

Those guys before us were very patient but they did get some awesome shot. From what they say they have been going back almost everyday. One photographer got shot of the eagles mating even. So cool!

Lenny, where did you find them? What gear did you use?

Thanks.
Hi John... first time I heard about it was actually from Jim Fox then people I know heard about them as well and went a few times. Last week when these were taken was my first to shoot them.
It was taken at the San Gabriel Dam.
I used Sony A7rii, with matabones 4. Lens is canon 300 mm with an Extender 2X XIII. I rented the Extender at Sammy's for $12 per day.
F.Y.I.
If you rent at Sammy's on a Friday after 3 pm it wont be due till Monday at 11 am which is great.
First time I ever rented any gear.

Thanks Lenny. I thought it was a wildlife preserve. I went up to Klamath Basin for raptors a few years ago.

I haven't rented from Sammy's but I was aware of the weekend deal. When I went to Klamath I rented a Tammron 150-600 for a week from Borrow Lenses. That lens was pretty new at the time. Used it with my Nikon D7100 APSC. The combo was good but I wasn't. Using a 5 pound lens for the first time is a challenge.
