Just above the primary falls along Panther Creek is an area of rapids that offer up some interesting intimate scenes like this one. I had overcast skies yesterday which helped this area come to life for shots like this.

As you know Alan, I love mountain fast water like this, and the moss and ferns add a cool feeling to it.

Hi Alan,

I really like the small scene and the green glow of the moss is excellent. I'm having some visual flow issues. My eye is traveling a little bit too quickly out the left end, and cropping off the left (almost to the edge of the island) seems to fix that for me.

Thanks for the feedback. Let me examine that crop idea - this is a crop out of a larger image and there are a lot of ways to adjust this.

Very nice Alan. In my evolution to try and improve my photography, I've become more focused on trying to see more intimate scenes in nature. This is exactly the kind of scene I need to find more often.
