Half Dome

Wow - and I thought I was in love with the wider view of this scene. This is a really tasty rendition of Half Dome. The light on the distant peak is a nice bonus.

When I saw your wonderful wider shot I was thinking that I would also have put a tele on and tried to capture more of a mountain portrait like this one - great work. When the clouds are changing it can be hard taking the time to change lenses though worrying that you'll miss something!

I sure like this tighter view! What a beautiful evening, and I sure like this.
Thanks a lot Jim. I'll share a few more views over the next week or two.

Thanks Alan. Hard to take a bad shot that night!

Gorgeous scene Kyle !
Thanks a lot!

Wow! Nice one again Kyle.
Thanks Ryan!

Just gorgeous Kyle.
Thanks Ben!

This is jaw dropping good.
Thank you very much!

Ditto what everyone else said.
Thanks!

I did change lenses a couple times. When a wide sky is beautiful it's hard to want to lose any of it. When I saw this on my lcd I knew it would work. Thanks a lot.

I like this a lot. But with a sky like that I would prefer a wider more panoramic perspective. I didn’t see the less tight view you mentioned. In any event it is still a wonderful shot.

I completely agree. Here's the wider shot I referred to. I'll post a couple more in a day or two.

Wow, spectacular! Never noticed before but the dome looks like an elephants head (but it's early here and I may still be half asleep).
