Blue Hour Oasis

I was taking some candid shots at a wedding rehearsal dinner Friday night when this scene compelled me to get away from the party.

Not sure about the proper forum, just seemed too much manmade stuff for a landscape.

Seems like the right place to me..... Is this part of the wedding venue? Feels like a welcome respite from rehearsal chaos.
No, not really. The rehearsal and wedding took place at a lakeside church (established for all the resident and lake house owners) with the wedding reception at a nearby clubhouse. This is our friend's lake house where the rehearsal dinner took place. This lake is much larger than shown, 44,000 acres with about 750 miles of shoreline. A really beautiful lake with perhaps the clearest water in any Alabama lake.

Pretty nice Mike. That light on the dock is cool and it sounds like a really nice lake.
Looks like a great place for a bride and groom shot as well! Maybe after they get back from the honeymoon?
Nice image!

Thanks, that’s a good idea. I typically don’t take anything but candids at random events but I’m sure the B&G will have more taken when they return.
