Todays Focus is on State Parks!

National Parks can be easy as we tend to gravitate to them, but how about your local State Parks? Well that's what we are looking for today, State Parks.

Please add your State Park photos to this thread.

I will start off with a recent one from Mono Lake State Reserve. On this occasion it had huge berms of foam piled up along the shore and made for a really cool experience. This may or may not be level, it depends how much you twist your neck. :)

Great photo, Jim. Sweet light and a variety of shapes and textures. Foam? Wow. I thought it was snow or the remnants of the Michelin Guy.

Hmm - I will need to be selective since I spend more than a small amount of time in state parks.

I have more but this feels like a good sampler :)

Zeph - you are going to hate me but Painted Hills is part of the John Day Fossil Beds National Monument and not an OR state park. Still a great set of Painted Hills shots :)

LOL, yeah, it was in the 20's there so it was definitely cold enough for snow. The foam is relatively rare to show up, and the shapes were really cool. I have some where there is a foot high berm of the foam that I still need to process.

That's a good series Alan, I had forgotten about all of those State Parks. I was scratching my head at first as to what State Parks I could pull from, but there are a lot that way.
