Wednesday is upon us again so its time for another round of waterfalls. If you have an image showing water demonstrating obedience to gravity it belongs here :)

My falls for today are from a fall visit to my favorite trail through the basalts of the Oregon Coast along Sweet Creek. There was no room for a trail along parts of the creek so the Forest Service built a catwalk that winds around a basalt ledge. A small plaque bolted to the face of the basalt ascribes the name Annice to this stretch of falls honoring a beloved local educator. Can't say I know much about Annice beyond the plaque and a really nice view looking upstream from the catwalk shown here.

If you are willing to hike up one thousand vertical feet in just one mile of hiking, you get to Fairy Falls on Wahkeena Creek in the Columbia River Gorge in Oregon. It is small but quite the beauty.

One of my favorite waterfalls in the Gorge. I love the symmetry of Fairy Falls from just about every angle you can shoot them from. Nice shutter speed choice for this shot.

A very nice shot, Alan... lovely autumn leaf colors... it feels like I'm standing right there. 😀

From 17th October 2025, The Dundonnell river Torridon, NW Scotland. I have just recently processed them, I am that slow. There were much larger falls further up the river but getting to them looked difficult so I didn't try. Ken

Beautiful setting and some really nice cascades along that river. Lots to like in each of these views. I love the fall colors surrounding the river in #3 with the wider view of the drop-offs and the neat cascades in the first two images.

This is Sioux Falls in Sioux Falls South Dakota. I did a livestream there yesterday late in the day.

Don't look too close, there is some slight movement. I wax using the Slow Shutter app while holding the iPhone on top of my camera. I should have walked back to my truck to get a mount for the camera, I over sharpened it on Photoshop Express on my iPhone, so hopefully it's not too bad.
