Bristlecone Pines in 1977

I made a trip up tp the Bristlecone Pine National Senic Area in 1977 and shot these images with a Rollieflex SL66 using Panatomic-x film. I pull the negatives from thier file folder and scanned these from that shoot. It was a nice day on the mountain that day with light clouds and sunshine.

The first 3 images show some the variety of shapes found of the Bristlecone pine trees. These are some of the oldest living trees on earth. In the first image foreground some pieces of a tree that did not survive are seen.

This is a view from the Bristlecone area down into the valley and the small town of Alma, Colorado
