I really love Great Sand Dunes Park. It's hard to imagine this park even exists in such a location.

An unusual challenge for sure! From 2006-2020, my adventure companion was this 2006 GMC Canyon. It was perfect for me - 4x4, short wheelbase, and a 6 foot bed with camper shell that I could sleep in.

Michael, I love all your images with your Colorado of Colorado! (I sure wasn’t expecting a Colorado vehicle to be part of this Task—perfect!). Very nice image of the
Grand Canyon—love the layers in this composition. The Talastima Canyon is another well composed and colorful image—a definite favorite. The Hell’s Canyon is an interesting composition. The image of Paris Canyon is interesting from the infrared capture emphasizing the sky in the composition and revealing other surprising details in the image. Very nice. The B&W Canyonlands image is perhaps my most favorite. A well seen scene and great edit as well. Love this image. Your last image, Coal Mine Canyon is a definite favorite too—love the layers of rock and bands of color. Thanks again Michael for sharing all these great images this week.

I searched my files for Colorado and have a few to offer from a trip to Colorado a few years ago. My focus is usually on a much tighter scale than real landscapes thus the closeups of some fall colours.

Trent, a different view of Colorado—and that’s always a good thing! I enjoyed the first two “closeups” of the two interesting and colorful images—the second, my favorite. I also liked the stream bank too. Thank you so much for sharing your images for this week’s Task.

This thread seems to be leaning towards Colorado. I'll go a different direction with the "Tacoma" theme with a Mt Rainier image. Tacoma, WA is the closest big city to Mt Rainier.

Yes, this Task is focused on Colorado but you’re welcome to depart from this week’s theme. (This Task series will be a vehicle model inspired theme). Jameel this a gorgeous landscape—with reflection. I love the composition with the included foreground. Very nice.

Jameel, thank you so much for providing these gorgeous Colorado images—and taking the time to do so…for us to see! First off, the first image is beautiful and I love your caption too. The two color composition is very well conceived and a definite favorite. The Crested Butte image is another favorite and an exceptional landscape image. The third image, Ridgeway, is an interesting composition too—I love the foreground trees leading the eye to the ridge of trees beyond. Well captured. I like the Dallas Divide spacious composition—very nice. And thanks again Jameel for posting these additional images.
