I am guessing this is some kind of check cutting device or maybe an early device for wiring money transfers seen here through a storefront window in Bodie California. I decided this needed to be a B&W scene to fit the mood of the period.

I concur, Alan, this is a very fitting B&W conversion.

Bodie is a fascinating place, along highway 395, there are many relics.

B&W is perfect! Great one Alan.

I always enjoyed looking in the windows at the buildings at Bodie, it's so cool to be transported back in time over 100 years.

Thanks Jim - agree with hanging out peeping through the windows at that park.

I found that I got better images using my iPhone to shoot things inside because I could more easily get my hands around the iPhone to block the reflections off of the dirty glass.

Your processing gives it a classic feel here. I have never visited that place but sounds like a nice side trip when in that area.
Thanks Jameel - I have done other images from Bodie in full color but this one seemed to beg for an old-timey B&W treatment. Definitely worth a side trip if you are in the area but give yourself some time if you do. There is a lot to see there and a couple of hours isn't really enough.
