Cathedral Gorge Slots

Here are a few images of the Slots. They were constructed a lot different then most slots I have been in. It looked like someone had scraped down from the top down to the bottom. Also lot's of rocks mixed in with the clay/dirt of the slot.

Generally speaking the slots were very narrow and had lot's of turns with very short straight areas. I should have taken more time and focus bracketed, or used a wider lens for more DoF. But I was mainly trying to explore and do video.

Those are some incredibly narrow slots at the bottom. Very curious textures to the slot canyon walls. Not quite what I was expecting but quite fascinating.

Second Alan's observation about the narrow slots. I like the wall textures and colors. Looks like a place worth a visit in nice light.

It was very tight in spots, wait until you see the video. There were lot's of spots where I had to inch forward because I couldn't get one foot to pass alongside the other to get in foot. So I had to kind of schooch. It did have some larger areas, but half of the slots were pretty narrow I would say. And with the constant bending and curving, it was really hard to get cool images like say in Antelope Canyon, or the slots in Escalante.

Thanks Jameel. While they are slots, they didn't feel like the classic slot canyons that we think of I think, because the wall construction was different.
