Old Filling Station on Hiwy 85

At a place called 'In Rust we Trust' are a lot of reminders of traveling in New Mexico in the 1950s and 1960s. This site has lots of old cars and gas pumps from the same time periods.

History of objects found on old hiwy 85 is found in the waiting room at the service station.

I don't think any of these services were available when we were there.

Signs from that era remind me just how distant a memory it is to recall pulling into a full service gas station when the attendant checked your oil, washed your windshield and checked the air in your tires while filling your tank with leaded gas.

B&W is a good choice for this place.

Awesome Larry! Great photos, and what a fun place. I am trying to recall where this is at, I think I need to pull out a map.

Thanks Alan I remember those days when I was driving on US66 between Los Angeles and Denver going to Denver University. My twin brother and I had lot of adventures and mis-adventures on Route 66 back in those days! ;)

Hi Jim it is a fun place for full of photo ops. As I remember, it is on US85 between Albuquerque and Santa Fe.
I will post more images from there this week end. ;)
