Hints of Fall

Fall seems a bit late this year but it's definitely making its presence known in the Portland/Vancouver area. After a few days of rain the clouds lifted and this was the view of Mt. St. Helens from over my house yesterday with a fresh dusting of snow down to about the 5000' level and some changing leaves down in the lowlands near the urban area. Not quite a full on fall color display just yet as our usual peak is around the last week of October. Shot with a 166mm lens from about 350' above ground level.

Thanks Jim - the snow cover on the volcano was a pretty good hint and it was nice to see some color in the leaves. Lots more rain coming by later in the week so flight time might scarce.
