The Meadow and the Mountain

When I first got up to Mt. Rainier last Wednesday there was a fair amount of wildfire smoke in the air so I focused on shooting close scenes and waterfalls. The air cleared up quite a bit the next morning and the mood of the meadows and the mountain changed completely. By mid to late afternoon the skies had become cloudy and flipped the colors back to being considerably more subdued. This is what things looked like just before noon.

Thanks Jim - there were several occasions where the low clouds completely covered the view of the peak. Jameel's post a couple of days ago was from almost this same spot along the trail but after the cloud cover had arrived.

Thanks - the shots I took later near the same spot after you showed up had completely different color tones compared to what I got in the morning.
