Smoke on the Water

All due apologies to Deep Purple for the title but it seemed to fit well here. This is from Friday night's sunset that I posted a panorama of yesterday but this time at 400' above the ground using a 70mm lens. I wasn't sure I could do much with these shots since there was so much visible smoke in the scene but I decided to give it a go anyway. Four panels at 70mm.

Thanks Trent - the reflections on the water were almost the only ground features you could make out through the smoke.

Thanks Jim - nice look but pretty bad air. That murky layer down near the horizon is all smoke.

Thanks Kyle - same line in the chorus of the song so both apply here I think we are only seeing a fraction of the smoke from up near Wenatchee.

The horizon shows the effects of smoke. Further up the colors are reallly nice.

Thanks Jameel - the murk on the horizon was the same stuff we were breathing although my air quality apps showed much worse conditions over your area at the same time. I want the nice colors in the sky without needing to live inside the filter providing the colors. Its good to have dreams I guess.....
