Mittens

This image of the Mittens in Monument Valley was taken 1978 using a Rollieflex SL66, the film was Kkodacolor, a Kodak color negative film. The negative was scanned and then processed using Photoshop. The B&W conversion was done in Camera Raw Filter.

A bit of nostalgia with this shot. Nice viewing angle for these formations. Likely quite a few less people around this area in those days. I might be inclined to add more contrast if this were my image as it feels a little flat

Hi Alan I took your suggestion tweaked the Mitten image with more contrast and a few other minor tweaks and come up with this version 2 of the image and must admit it is better. ;)

Much better! I always like to check my histograms to make sure I have a true black and true white in the image unless leaving one of those out serves a purpose.

Very cool Larry! From back in the good old days.

It's funny as I looked at the original I thought that it just needed some more contrast, and then I saw that Alan had suggested it, and you had added an edit. The extra contrast really adds to this image.
