What I have been working on lately.

I haven't been on this board much for the past five months because I have been busy working on a book. The writer of the book is a world class ecosystem restoration expert who has dedicated his life to restoring prairies, woodlands, wetlands and savannas in Illinois. The book will be titled "Wilderness Reborn."

Below is a sample two-page spread featuring mushrooms. Let me know what you think

I will post a spread each day along with some of the writing to see what you think.

Thanks for looking.

Looks as a professional publication should. Excellent photos and layout! Only change I'd make is to separate the "Photos by Doug Sherman" and "Shaggy Mane Mushrooms" captions. Maybe move the photo credits to the page bottom, so all the photos have a similar identifying caption.

Awesome Doug! I am really glad you posted this. It's going to be exciting to get more updates, and also very educational. We can all learn the ID's to plants that we wouldn't otherwise know. Well Alan, might, as he is really good at that. But I know I wouldn't know.

A great page layout too, very professional looking.

Thanks for your comments and constructive advice, Michael. I have already made that change you suggested.

The photos are, of course, stunning. I know that you said you moved the photo credits as was suggested by Michael. I would assume that there is a page for acknowledgements & photo credits could go there instead.

Thanks for your kind comments and good suggestion about credits., Monika. Yes, there will be a page for acknowledgements and the idea for credits at the end of the book is a good one.
