How deep does the snow get up in that area? Looks like a small patch still remains on the slope in the left canter of the scene. Looks nice in B&W.

Thanks Alan in winter the snow gets very deep in this area, probably in the tens of feet. The road closes in late September most years and I have been caught in snow up there in August. :(

I am sorry I didn't hear about the road closing next year, I would have made sure to have gotten up there this year.

Hi Jim; thanks for the comments about the photograph, very much appreciated. ;)

I was sorry to hear that the road was being closed also, and my not open again until 2026. Sounds like the road will really be improved and I won't miss some of the large hump and bumps in the old road! :)
