Alan, excellent choices for this week’s Task! I especially love the Death Valley and the Palouse images—but all are great! Thank you for sharing all of them.

A couple from the Palouse in Washington State

Local told me the color in the hills is from using the the herbicide Roundup. I'm not sure if he was pulling my leg or not.

Still standing, but for how long?

Michael, great photos—I love the hills depicted in your first Palouse image. Great image! Glad you shared this second image, still standing in the field…maybe. I hope you didn’t try entering! Thanks for sharing.

Larry, wonderful series of images you’ve shared (thank you!) I really enjoyed your caption in your last photo, very funny. I love your first RMNP and the Long Lake outlet images—gorgeous! My favorite is the the rainbow captured on Trail Ridge Road—very, very nice!

Jameel, three beautiful field captures—I appreciate you sharing these for the Task. It’s difficult to choose a favorite—the Moulton barn captured with beautiful background of fog and the clouds above, the warm light on the distant hills in the Vermont farm image, or the beautiful simplicity of the Palouse landscape—so I won’t choose!

Great images Dan, thank you for sharing them. I like the winding path in your first image—nice composition. I love the B&W landscape of the trees on the hillside—nice! The cool colors of blues and greens in your second landscape is also an interesting image as well. I also like the bisected composition of the beach and waves fading into a beautiful blue fog—wonderful!

Here in Saskatchewan we call a farmer "a person outstanding in their field". I didn't have a good picture of that so here is my interpretation of today's task.

Lots of old buildings seem to fit today's theme. Here is my offering.

I was traveling yesterday so couldn’t get to this until this morning. In each of these I was standing in a field to take the image.

Trent, I love your lead image—a beautiful landscape you’ve captured. The abandoned vehicles are always interesting subjects and both work well here—outstanding in the field. A beautiful sky above the snow field creates a memorable photo of the Saskatchewan ski trip—nice!
