Maligne Lake Boat House

I just saw that Jasper National Park has a huge Wildfire going on and that one-third of the town of Jasper has burned to the ground. Thank goodness the area where this boat house exists has not been affected by the fire.

Looks like a good time to have your foundation over the water. I haven't seen any good maps of where the fire is relative to the town. Lots of news coverage with images of the fire but not a map.

That is a beautiful spot. We are devastated at the fire damage in Jasper National Park. I think over 50% of the homes have been destroyed. They managed to save much of the infrastructure but it is a disaster for so many people.

A beautiful image, Douglas, wonderful color contrast and light, excellent processing.. it's good that at least this nice place survived the big fire unscathed, even though the fire was extensive and very destructive.
