Juvenile Birds at City Park

There is a small group of trees on a small island in the Denver City Park lake that is the nesting place for several bird species. The trees host cormorants, night heron and snowy egrets. It is quite a sight in late summer months each year. The birds below are all juvenile chicks just starting to move out of their nests!

I haven't been to Denver City Park before. It looks like I might have to check it out. You have a great series of photos here Larry.

Hi Jim; The Denver Zoo in on the north part of the park and also has birds as well and the usual zoo occupants! Either site is a
good place for photo ops.
