Pacman Nebula (NGC281)

The "Pacman Nebula" (aka NGC281) is an emission nebula about 6500 light-years away, named for its resemblance to the video game character (a game I played WAY too much when in college). The "mouth" of the Pacman appears dark in optical images because light is obscured by dust and gas, but in infrared images the dust in this region glows brightly.

This is the result of ~4 hours of exposure time taken on 9/9/23.

Awesome work Bill! You didn't get a lot of integration time on this, but you sure got a lot of detail.
I was thinking that I was going to need more data, but the result turned out pretty good so I decided to go ahead and publish it anyway.
