Your color sensibility is far past mine. I seem to be able to get similar Colors (to my eyes) with any sensor. Now noise dr they are a whole different matter.

I have the same issue with vinal vs digital music analogue is just noisy distorted compared with digital

Iain. This forum has strived to be a non pixel peeper non fan boy forum

it is a friendly place. We don’t even do much critique. It’s all about impressins

if I see an image with a few flaws but which also engages me I will
Concentrate on the positive. We have a critique forum but it seldom gets used

This is of course my own opinion but I think it is largely true

by the way I am 82 and I am unable to get out for pictures in my forte (landscape)
So I must post from my archive until spring arrives and I can get some flowers

… Ben: Appreciate your good thoughts. Myself, I do not see a conflict in offering one’s own personal perspective on images- composition, technique, or tools. It is not a matter of being “friendly”.
… We are all learning this fascinating medium. We all have much to share.

I am glad this is not a pixel peeper forum, yet as each of us has preferences the only safe way to voice an opinion on a picture is to comment on it, or if it doesn't gell with you, don't comment, that way you are not going to upset anybody.

I try to comment on every image except some styles I don’t care for. I am pretty narrow in my tastes whicare color landscapes and birds.

but I can see what a person was trying for and comment on how well he hit that with my eye. I can be friendly honest and make a comment even though the image might not be one I would hang on my wall.

If I really like it the additional comments I make will tell the story

one other point, perfect color razor sharp etc are not the be all end all . If the image touuches me and many outside my preferences do, I will say so
