Josh and Amanda - Preview

My son got married this last weekend to a wonderful woman named Amanda. I was tasked with photographing it. I used to photograph about 3 or 4 weddings a year, but it's been a while since my last wedding, so I felt a bit rusty, though once the action began, that rust quickly fell off.

They were married in Overlook Park near Los Alamos. It's a cool bluff that overlooks the Rio Grande River and has very far reaching views to the East. I have photographed there many times while visiting as it's a really cool area.

They asked me after the wedding if I could send them a couple of photos right away so that they could post an announcement of their wedding on FaceBook. So these are 3 that I picked out, and did some super quick processing on.

Thank you so much Ben! Yep, probably the hair as we look more a like when I was younger, so the hair must be it. His son also looks like my son a lot. You could post younger shots of them and not be able to tell who is who.

Nice job, Jim. Your son has quite the beard. Is there a significance to the cloud in the black and white shot? I do notice it's creating sunrays which I think adds to the scene and meaning.
