Some Mid Morning Light Along the Coast

This is a mid morning capture of the Harris Beach State Park Marine Garden with some pleasant atmospherics. No fancy colors on this particular morning but nice light for viewing the coastline.

Thanks Ben - I skipped going out to shoot the sunrise when I saw all the clouds but decided that the conditions might work for some aerial photos.

The overcast light really brings out the color in the ocean though! I like the people on the beach for the sense of scale.

Thanks Tim - I was flying from an overlook well above the beach so the drone was only at 54' above the launch point and the ocean color was notable even from the ground.

Very cool Alan! I think when a scene is good, it doesn't need colors in the clouds to then make it good. It's already good. So with this view. Of course colors in the clouds are awesome to have, but they aren't necessary when it looks this good.

Thanks Jim - I am a fan of interesting light whether its colorful or not. I always prefer the colorful if I can get it but being exclusive about it cuts down on my opportunities to shoot scenes like this.

Thanks Doug - the rocks are one of the reasons I like this place. This is the western shoreline of the the accreted landmass that includes the Klamath Range. Quite unlike the coastal stacks north of Bandon.
