Sunset at the Lake Timelapse

Since @Ben Egbert and @Jim Dockery wanted a timelapse, I made sure to get to the lake to run early enough yesterday that I could still set up for a timelapse as the clouds again looked really nice. This is at the Poudre Learning Center in Greeley, Colorado.

Sweet Jim, you got some great colors and I love how the clouds and shoreline and reflections all make a V to the left side.

Nice - this one keeps my attention better than the previous sunset video.

You had some sweet clouds and perfectly exposed for it. There were a few funny short light changes that I don't understand. I also really liked the end of the TL going to darkness, but then the stills afterward detracted from the TL for me - those could stand alone on their own merits.

Yeah, there were a couple of those spots that I am not sure what happened. I was shooting with 10 second intervals, and occasionally I would stop it to double check it was exposing okay since the light was changing a lot through the sunset. I didn't change any settings, but perhaps the stopping and the restarting of the timelapse caused a frame to get exposed improperly? Not sure.

As for the stills at the end, I have had a few people ask me to do that, so I don't always do it, but in this case I did as I do think they are kind of a cool wrap up to the evening.

The stopping and starting does explain it since you missed a short time period and in this case with the light changing constantly that produces a tiny glitch.
