Time for more waterfalls :)

My starter falls are a set of cascades along Sweet Creek that are labeled Elk Wallow Falls. This is one set of falls that looks much nicer with a higher flow of water since most of my images of this scene show water going over a much smaller portion of these basalt terraces. This is from a couple of weeks ago and the water is a lot higher after the rains we have been having this month so it's unlikely I could shoot from this spot at the moment.

Those are near looking falls with this level of water flowing. The leaves on the rocks add a lot of interest to this.

I don't live in an area with gorgeous waterfalls. The flat prairie where I live has its own beauty. We have entered the winter with a blizzard overnight. This shot is of a weir on the river in Saskatoon. The cold gives us lots of beauty to explore. (This shot is from a few years ago).
Falling water doesn't care what its cascading over - its still a waterfall :) Looks a bit on the chilly side.

The Blackwater River in Highland Scotland from Oct 2020. All being well I will be driving past next Tuesday on route to Assynt which is in the far NW corner of Scotland. Heavy snow forecast Wed and Thursday so I should get there but may not get out as easily. Ken

This is just a crop of the last one. An a dvantage of using a 60Mp camera, I can crop and still have 16Mp to play with. Ken

One from a recent visit to one of the more iconic waterfalls in North Carolina. This is Upper Whitewater Falls and, at 411 feet, is listed as the tallest waterfall East of the Mississippi by the US Forest service. This may not be true and it may not be quite 411 feet, but it is a great waterfall in my book. Hope you like this one. Taken with my Fuji GFX 100S and GF 32-64 lens with a polarizing filter. www.instagram.com/stephen_ozcomert

Beautiful falls and some very nice fall colors. I like the #2 and #3 for the falls, the colors, and the compositions.

Incredible color show and the falls are quite amazing no matter what their height might be. I could spend more than a few minutes lurking around that scene looking for small compositions.

Trent, I love the "steamy" scene. Does this river get completely frozen over in the Winter ?

Really lovely job with this one, Alan. The color is spot on and the shutter speed provides good water movement while preserving detail. Thx for sharing.

Interesting falls - I like the looks of these falls and didn't know they existed in spite of having driven the Stevens Canyon road many times.
The stream goes under the road and feeds into Louise Lake. I am sure you have driven past/over it many times. :)

I know I have driven over it a bunch of times - the Stevens Canyon Road is my usual approach to Rainier NP. I usually come into Rainier via Packwood and drive past Lake Louise and Reflection Lakes on my way to Paradise Inn. I have been driving on that route since film days.
