Day 3 of 7 posting B&W images

This is Aldeyjarfoss in Northern Iceland, a really cool waterfall that is at least a little off the beaten path (dirt road and some hiking). The result is some nice glacial green water flowing through a basalt amphitheater. This is my favorite type of image to process in B&W with lots of textures and contrasts.

Any thoughts are welcome!

A very interesting scene - I like the ring of columnar basalt lining the amphitheater. That break in the basalt textures adds a neat touch to the frame. Nice one.

Oh man, I am as bad as Alan! I was enjoying the B&W totally until I read Alan's comments which made me read your comments which then makes me want to see the color version too...

But this is sure sweet in B&W.
