'Twas a Dark and Stormy Morning

An interesting sunrise in Brookings Oregon with an approaching winter storm. I do love watching serious storms but in this case the approaching storm had full on gale warnings out with Brookings right in the crosshairs. The campground I frequent has a southwest exposure that could be dangerous for falling trees so I took some shots along the already windy beach and headed north to the Sunset Bay State Park campground near Coos Bay which is sheltered from southwest winds. We got over 3" of rain that night and I got flooded out of that campground the next morning. Brookings got over 5" and there was wind damage in the Harris Beach campground.

Wild story; good choice on the change in campgrounds; glad to hear it worked out, sort of.

That's great action imagery; a very fine representative of the storm. Well done.

Well, this is one great parting shot before you had to move Alan! Awesome work here. And smart on your part to move out of the way of the full brunt of that storm.

Love the mood here Alan, i would consider a bottom crop, up to the diagonal wave (with some small space to breathe).

Cheers.
