Joshua Tree B&W IR

Another scene from Joshua Tree yesterday as I was walking around and looking for scenes that might look good in IR. I ended up converting this one to B&W as I have been itching for a while on trying to figure out how to do that with IR. I went with a moody B&W look, it probably won't appeal to everyone.

Thanks Doug! I am glad you like the scene. I didn't have to make the leaves white, but it did appeal to me. I might have gotten too fixated on getting foliage to turn white with B&W IR conversions.

You and me both. I had a dilemma with this one. There had been more tonal separation. But as you know I had just gotten the IR conversion back and didn't realize that there is something messed up with the lens or the VR perhaps on the lens so that the edges are not very sharp even though this is f13. So the moody vignette was my attempt to hide the softness a bit, and in the end it seems like some of the tonal separation of the foreground brush got lost.
