Lost H264 in render

I have been doing timelapses for the past several days. But today I seem to have lost H-264 as an option for Export. All I get are various single image options like TIFF jpg or PSD,

I was also having trouble in Moviva, saying the codac for audio could not be found. I tried a reboot and discovered that Win 10 was attempting an upgrade. When I finished this and rebooted, some stuff worked, but still no h-264.

Any ideas?

That’s odd Ben. If both Photoshop and Movavi are affected, it sounds like a codec issue.

I am sure it is. I just did a moviva and it makes a mp4 file, but it runs as a bunch of singles. I am beginning to really like the in-camera method. I did buy Moviva

Even if you do in camera, Movavi is a super easy way to add titles and music to it. I will be back in California in a few days, I will see about making a video tutorial on how to create a timelapse in Movavi. It's super easy and only takes about 3 steps.

Yes, I have been using Moviva to add music and titles to in camera TL. I have also tried some editing for color and brightness.

Jim, I just created this from some stills I shot two days ago. I used Moviva and it created an MP$ file. As you see, it's pretty cluncky. It's long and I did not bother to add music or titles because i just wanted to show how Moviva handles my stills. These are tiff files.

You have to set the time for each stills much smaller than you have here. Keep it at around 1s or so.

Ben, check this tutorial. You can skip to the 2:00 min mark and watch. The default for each frame in movavi is 4s. Change it to 1s and render it.

That's not correct actually.... you want to change it to .1 sec not 1 sec. The goal is 30fps and with the timing for display .1 does it. 1 sec will still look slow and jerky.

If you guys give me a chance I can do a tutorial in a few days.

Ok, I restored H.264 in photoshop. What I did was completely uninstalled Photoshop 2021 and reinstalled it. The new install works now.

99 5DSR fullsize jpgs are 753 mb. The rendered video is 5.18mb in the highest quality setting. The video looks really good in terms of image quality, but is still a bit jerky. I think its a question of finding the right intervals and maybe modifying the speed in Movavi. These images can be post processed in ACR as a batch operation so lots of options for improving them.

This will keep the 5DSR in the running if I can fix the jerkiness.
