horses

the horses on us 191 in grand teton national park. if you're familiar with the area it's where the horses congregate on the west side of the road and the buffalo usually hang out on the east side. after two days of boring blue skies and hazy mountains some clouds finally showed up this evening. and a wildfire also flared up today, just east of the pilgrim creek/colter bay area. the plume of smoke could be seen from jackson.

The soft golden light works really well in this scene. Probably not very nice to breathe but a nice compliment to the fall leaves and grasses.
