I think I did fairly well on this one. Tried using the article blending but for some reason I wasn't getting it, so went back to a Serge Ramelli video from 2015 that I found on blending multiple images :). Didn't take me 3 hours like the last one!

Wow, now that is looking really nice Darcy! I am liking what you did.

I will message you later and see if there is something not clear in the Article.

Thank you Barry :). Yours is lovely too, I am really liking your sky, but I don't know if it is my screen, but the middle seems too turquoise to me? It sure makes the water pretty though!

Yes there is a lot of blue haze in the desert at night!

Jim I think it is just the verbiage, as when I went into photoshop, file menu, select scripts then load layers...my photoshop didn't say load layers, it said something else & I kept trying different versions (Photoshop CC 2018) and Photoshop C6 and they both said the same thing. I am sure it is me since I know practically nothing about photoshop as I use mainly lightroom and do very little to my photo's.

Okay, so I went a totally different way!

I lightened the rocks on the left, I brightened up a tad that canyon wall on the right side. I pushed the sky a bit, Oh for sure I blended, 5 images with my mods. In my mind from the beginning I was thinking B&W, at this point I still thought I would like B&W, and I did with Nik Efex Pro 2. :)

Love it, I have worked this image many times and never got these results.

That is very nice, Darcy. I gave it a go as well, simply using layers and masks.

Another nice one. Going to be tough voting.

Thanks, Darcy. I always see a bit of comparatively blue haze in the desert in evening light. It also indicates the great distances seen there.
And I work so hard to eliminate that haze, in fact it has been a show stopper for me, had I known I could keep iit, I would go another way.

I just knew somebody would do a monochrome.

Thanks to all of you so far for contributing, I think we are going to learn a lot. For me, it's almost never about how to do something, but what it should look like and when to stop.

Very good edit Mike. I really like the area below the horizon. The way you treated the sky is different, not bad, but not like the original either. I have to think some about that part.

By the way, I am not in the contest, I will show my version after the contest is over.

I edited in LR and Color Efex Pro 4 in Nik Efex. I added saturation to the photo, but it's not showing up here.

Hey Mike, Now we are talking! I like your thinking out of the box with this as to how your final look is.

As for the added saturation, are you converting the Color Profile to sRGB when getting your image ready for the web?
