The Ringed Plover has markings very similar to the North American Killdeer although the killdeer has two neck rings instead of one. They are part of the same family according to my bird books. Nice shots.

Wow! How interesting! They are both so cute. They aren't colorful, but they both have distinctive markings and builds.
