Zabriskie Point on film

With all the Zabriskie shots, I decided to reprocess my one from my only visit to DV.
I realize it's pretty pedestrian for Z-P shots, but it's my only one. This is from almost 2 yrs ago.
I did shoot also on Provia earlier that morn with less light & more saturated color, but it didn't process well.
This one is shot on Ektar, large format.
This was converted with an A7R copy, not a scan. It is a two shot stitch, so only ~70mp equiv.
This was stitched, converted w/ColorNeg and a slight WB adj
I can really record the DR of the negative much better with a copy vs scan.
I would say 1-2 stops, especially in the shadows.
Other than some sharpening & some overall levels, that's all. No double processing/gradient stuff either.
To get the most out of the negative, will probably go with a 9 shot stitch but need to refine that work-flow.

I will also attempt a copy of the Provia to see what's possible.

Hey Dan,

I was late myself to the Zabriskie party! :)

This has some really great shadow detail for being a neg. I would have thought the shadows would be darker, so good job with your workflow.

This one feels a bit soft, I am sure it's sharp, so maybe add a bit more sharpening into your workflow?

Jim,
Come to think of it, I probably used the default I use for MF.
This is the 1st time in a while I've processed 4x5 images, so that's likely it
Thanks

Jim, on further thought, I recall this was a VERY windy morning.
Both my BIL & myself were attempting to block the wind to get off each shot, with our coats out like flying squirrels o_O

I was surprised that they weren't completely OOF
But then again, this one might be fine with some extra sharpening

Thanks

Dan

In addition to Jim's suggestion of extra sharpening, some additional contrast will likely help as well.
