One thing I always do is turn around and take a 360 view of what is around me just after I capture an image i've setup for. Typically, at iconic locations like Z Point, everyone is looking west or a bit north or south, and going right for the histogram so they can chimp immediately after exposure. After scoping out Manly Beacon, I did a turnaround and saw this nice scene towards the east. No, it has no distinguishable identity as to location, but it made for a nice image. I always do my little spins as I hike a trail because there's more to it than simply what is ahead of you.
