I prefer to get close to nature rather than always trying to get a BIF shot.

These are the ugliest birds, yet most graceful when in the sky. And they do the work that other birds won't do!

I agree about getting close, and most BIF are boring, it becomes more of an "I can do it" sort of thing" unless the bird is actually doing something beside flying.

I would say that turkey vultures are very hard to expose right, and this is excellent with a great pose and head angle.

That's a really cool shot you got here. I do like how he seems to be turning his head around to look at you, and also how his wings are spread open a bit.
