Young Bull Elk

Young bull Elk walking casually on the road next to where Kathleen and I stopped to watch him and a few other elk feed in the small field. The group walked up this road and jumped a fence and walked back into the grove of pine trees from which they came, and then they were gone! We had 10 to 15 minutes of magic!

You are right people do stupid thing; I watched a Japanese woman chasing a bull elk across the tundra trying to feed it a piece of bagel! Now that was stupid!

Absolutely the photo is better without me it and even though elk are pretty mild mannered in the spring I don't think it would be a prudent act to jump out and grab a selfie, actually rather stupid and possibly dangerous.
