York Minster

Magnificent cathedral in the ancient walled city of York.
York Minster was erected over a 250 year period between 1220 and 1472.
On the day Martin, Carlo and I visited, there was a light mist falling from a lowering sky.
We were walking along the wall, a medieval defensive structure from Anglo-Saxon days, when I caught this view along the ramparts.

I like how the B&W film effect matches the old ramparts - but then my eyes wander up to the street with modern cars. It almost could have been horses and carriages with the film effect.

Thanks, Alan. Yeah, I wish I could go back in time to catch such a scene. That'd be very cool!
