Woods Lake - Carson Pass

This little lake is amazing in the fall. Late afternoon warm light straps down the canyon, lights the island, but leaves the walls in shadow. This was taken just after the first snow. Now that I have posted 3 it is time to go and explore all the other great images on this site!

I am headed to Zion in October so I will start with those and then branch. Thanks again for looking...

So nice Doug! I don’t think I have shot Woods Lake in the Fall, but it sure looks like a sweet spot.

I like how you composed this with that kind of staggered opening, it’s almost like we the viewer is looking through a small window into the soul of the lake.
